Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Each author must ensure that the submitted manuscript complies with the provisions set by the Jurnal Biosainsdik: Jurnal Biologi Sains dan Kependidikan, Faculty of Islamic Religion, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh as follows:

  1.  General Provisions
  2. Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or English
  3. Manuscripts must be original and have never been published or are in the process of being submitted for publication to other media and do not contain elements of plagiarism.
  4. Manuscripts can be in the form of research results or case studies, with a maximum length of 20 pages of A4 paper with 1.5 spacing and typed with Microsoft word program size 12 with Cambria letters.
  5. Authors must register as writers by registering online through the website: https://ejournal.unmuha.ac.id/index.php/biosainsdik.
  6. The manuscript will be published in the Jurnal Biosainsdik : Jurnal Biologi Sains dan Kependidikan, Faculty of Islamic Religion, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh after being reviewed by peer reviewers.
  7. Manuscripts must be made in accordance with the guidelines and writing templates. Writing templates can be downloaded in Journal Templates.
  8. Special Provisions

1. The manuscript outline includes: Title, Name of Author and Institution, Abstract, Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and Suggestions, and References.

2. Title. The title should reflect the issues discussed in the article, be short, and informative, but not exceed 15 words. The title of the manuscript does not contain unusual abbreviations.

3. Name of Author and Institution. The author's name is written without a title or degree. The author's name must also be accompanied by the author's institution, institution address, and email address.

4. Abstract. Abstract written in Indonesian and English. Abstract is made in one paragraph and between 150-250 words consisting of background, purpose, research method (design, subject/sample, instrument, data analysis), results, conclusion, and keywords (3-5 phrases).

5. Introduction. The introduction should contain (briefly and sequentially) the general background and state of the art literature and the main research problem. At the end of the introduction, the purpose/question of the research and the novelty of the writing of the manuscript should be stated.

6. Research Methods. The research method describes the type of research, population and sample or research subject, instruments, research implementation procedures, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques

7. Results and Discussion. This section contains the research results and discussion. The results obtained from the research must be supported by adequate data. The results of the research and its findings must be the answers or research hypotheses that have been stated previously in the introduction. The components that must be included in the discussion are: How do the results of the study relate to the initial questions or objectives outlined in the introduction (what/how)? Do you provide a scientific interpretation of each result or finding presented (why)? Are the results of your study consistent with what has been reported? Or is there a difference?

8. Conclusions and Suggestions. Conclusions must answer the research objectives and research findings. Closing remarks do not only contain repetition of results and discussion or abstracts. You should also suggest for further research on the basis of the research that has been done.

9. Reference. References written only contain sources that are referenced or included in the article. Please use Reference Manager Apps like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero and others. Reference sources must provide 70% of journal articles, proceedings, or research results from the last five years. The reference writing technique uses the APA (American Psychological Association) standard citing system, and the citation system used is the innote model.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
